What is high chromium alloy material?

2024-01-24

High chromium alloy (high chromium white cast iron ASTMA532) , currently, most domestic wear-resistant material enterprises mainly rely on medium frequency electric furnaces to melt high-quality scrap steel and chromium alloy materials after reasonable matching; And microalloying and tempering of molten iron; Furthermore, unique metal mold and sand mold casting processes are added; After high-temperature quenching and tempering treatment, a martensitic matrix is obtained to achieve high hardness and wear resistance.

High chromium alloy materials are widely used in the powder preparation and ultra-fine deep processing of industries such as cement building materials, metal mines, coal slurry thermal power, chemical engineering, ceramic coatings, light industry papermaking, magnetic materials, etc. The product has high hardness, low wear, good toughness, and enhanced wear resistance.

In terms of chemical composition, there are dozens of different materials from low chromium to high chromium, which can be described as a wide variety. In order to standardize industry standards and provide people with a clear rational understanding of chromium based alloys, the following are listed:

High chromium alloy casting ball standard, casting grinding ball GB/T17445-2009 national standard stipulates:

Low chromium ball with a chromium content of 1% -3% and a hardness of HRC ≥ 45;

Multi element alloy ball with a chromium content of 4% -6% and a hardness of HRC ≥ 47;

Medium chromium alloy ball with a chromium content of 7% -10% and a hardness of HRC ≥ 48;

High chromium alloy balls with a chromium content of ≥ 10% -14% and a hardness of HRC ≥ 58;

Special high chromium ball with a chromium content exceeding 14% and a hardness HRC ≥ 58.

Our high chromium alloy materials offer high hardness, low wear, good toughness, and enhanced wear resistance. They are ideal for powder preparation and ultra-fine deep processing in various industries.
